OCOEE, FL, July 2026: One person died and several others required medical treatment following a seven-vehicle crash in Ocoee on Tuesday evening, according to the Ocoee Police Department.
The collision occurred at approximately 8:19 p.m. on northbound Clarke Road near its intersection with A.D. Mims Road. Emergency crews closed the intersection for several hours while investigators examined the scene and cleared the damaged vehicles. The roadway later reopened.
Police reported that seven vehicles and 10 people were involved. Two people were transported to a hospital by ambulance, while seven people received medical treatment. Authorities did not immediately disclose the conditions of those who were injured.
One person died as a result of the collision. However, authorities had not publicly released that individual’s identity because, as a result, notification of family members remained pending.
Investigators believe speed may have contributed to the crash. Nevertheless, police have not shared details on how the crash began. They also have not said which vehicle started the chain of impacts.
Photographs from the scene showed several heavily damaged vehicles, broken glass, and debris scattered across the roadway. Initial statements from emergency agencies contained conflicting information about the number of vehicles involved. Ocoee Police later confirmed that seven vehicles were part of the crash.
Officials had not announced any citations or criminal charges as of the latest available update. The Ocoee Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or recorded video of the incident to contact the Ocoee Police Department.
