SUNRISE, Broward County, FL, September 5, 2026: One person died and two others suffered injuries after a two-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in Sunrise, local authorities said.
Sunrise Police said the collision happened around 1:53 a.m. near 2500 N. University Drive and involved two vehicles.
Fire rescue personnel arrived at the scene and took three people to a hospital for treatment.
Hospital staff later pronounced one of the occupants dead. The other two survived, but authorities did not provide details about their conditions in the initial report.
