PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL – July, 2026 – Traffic slowed on Florida’s Turnpike in Palm Beach County after a semi-truck fire and a separate crash affected southbound lanes Sunday afternoon, according to WPBF 25 News.
Officials said the vehicle fire occurred on the southbound side of Florida’s Turnpike, south of the Bee Line Highway exit. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue reported that crews responded around 2:04 p.m. near mile marker 104 after receiving reports of a vehicle fire.
When firefighters arrived, they found a semi-truck on fire. Crews quickly applied water and contained the fire. No injuries were reported, though Fire Rescue personnel remained at the scene to address any remaining hazards.
Several Turnpike lanes were closed during the response. WPBF also reported a second crash on the southbound side at the Bee Line Highway exit in Palm Beach Gardens, which blocked the left lane and added to the traffic delays.
