ORANGE COUNTY, Florida – March, 2026 – A driver was killed after an Epcot Center Drive crash Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said a 2023 Hyundai Elantra was traveling northbound on Epcot Center Drive north of Overpass Road when the driver was going above the posted speed limit and could not successfully steer through the curve. This led to the Epcot Center Drive crash.
The car ran off the roadway to the northwest and hit a tree, FHP said. The impact caused the vehicle to become fully engulfed in flames. Consequently, the Epcot Center Drive crash involved significant fire damage.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The medical examiner’s office will contact FHP once the driver has been identified. Furthermore, officials are still looking into the Epcot Center Drive crash.
The accident is still being investigated.
