BREVARD COUNTY, FL – June, 2026 – A chain reaction crash on Interstate 95 in Brevard County sent three people to the hospital and temporarily shut down all southbound lanes, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened on this Thursday morning near mile marker 207 at Port St. John Parkway in Cocoa. Troopers said a car hauler failed to stop for traffic ahead and struck the rear of another vehicle. That impact caused a chain reaction involving four additional vehicles, for six total vehicles in the crash.
Three people were transported to the hospital. Two were listed in serious condition, while one person sustained minor injuries. Troopers, tow trucks, and cleanup crews remained at the scene while the southbound lanes were blocked. All lanes later reopened, and the crash remains under investigation.
