ORLANDO, FL – November, 2025 – Two teenagers died after a 2008 Toyota Scion attempted to pass in a no-passing zone on State Road 33 near Groveland around 6 p.m. Reports confirmed that 2 teens were killed as the driver swerved to avoid an oncoming 2021 Lincoln Aviator, lost control, re-entered the lane and was struck; the Scion overturned. A 6-year-old in the Lincoln Aviator suffered serious injuries. The 75-year-old driver, a 66-year-old woman, and a 5-year-old boy had minor injuries. (People.com)

The victims were identified as Jade, 16, and her boyfriend Jose Ivan, 17, students at South Lake High School. Friends and family held a memorial at Lake Catherine Farms; grief counselors were provided at school. (People.com)
